Holy moly. Hang onto your butts, my darling friends. I’ve started podcasting. Yes - seriously.
But don’t worry! Podcasting is really just a fancy way to say “online radio show”.
Or at least I’ve started down the long winding path to having my own online radio show. When I set this goal back in December, I had no idea how obsessive I would become about it! It’s all I’m thinking, breathing and eating lately. Though that’s not entirely true - I do need food, after all. That, and my food podcast.
This week I got a real nice mic and a pop filter which is just a fancy way to say “spit screen”. I’ve done some pretty big research about how to actually format, record and edit my radio show, which is really just a fancy way to say “fucked around on Garageband”. And I’ve outlined my first episode with show notes! ….Which is really just a fancy way to say “doodled and scribbled on a coffee stained notebook”.
Podcasting isn’t fancy. But it IS fun! And I’m SUPER excited to share it with you! Like, slap-me-in-the-face-with-a-big-fat-farm-fresh-carrot-and-giggle-like-a-school-girl kind of excited. That’s pretty darn excited.
Now I know what you’re thinking: But wait, Kristy! I thought you were a food blogger!
Well, I am. But I’m also about to become an internet broadcaster with a food podcast. Think of it like blogging, but with my mouth, rather than my fingertips… Just how you like it. And because I’m hilarious (and you like to laugh), you’ll want to tune in.
But in case that isn’t enough for you, here’s another reason: My new show will be yet another opportunity for us to connect over real food ways. That, and a bottle (or 3) of wine. And I KNOW you like your wine! So pour a glass, pull up a chair and let’s chat!
Now I know you must be thinking, What will you podcast about? Good question!
Porn, mainly. Just kidding. Unless you want me to podcast about porn,in which case…
I. Am. Here. For. You.
More likely though, the show’ll function as a supplement to the blog. On the She Eats Loudly Podcast I’ll jammer on about eating seasonally and locally, various seasonal recipes and cooking tips, the ever-baffling phenomenon that is my ever-expanding ass, how to source your food, and of course, how to tell if your goat is plotting to kill you. Luckily, as I understand it, goats aren’t too clever. But they sure are cute! And with any luck, I’ll get to have a co-host – it could be YOU – from time to time.
Convinced?
To get the Podcast, you’ll be able to download episodes from iTunes, BlackBerry, Zune AND Stitcher for when you’re on the go, as well as listen to full episodes right here on the blog! Every week I’ll publish a mini-post (aka show notes) right here and you’ll have the option of downloading from one of the afore mentioned platforms, or just hit play from here. It’s all about you my loves - and I always want more you.
The first episode (if all goes well) goes live NEXT WEEK. Make sure you don’t miss a thing by opting in for my newsletter so you can catch the latest She Eats news, updates, seasonal stuff I’m loving, cooking tips & tutorials and suggestions for eating locally seasonal! Oh yeah, and you’ll also get notifications when I publish new podcasts. But don’t worry – I won’t spam your mailbox. I promise.

Dude.
WAY TO BE.
I will be listening, for sure.
And yes, they are addicting to make, as evidenced by all of our emails back and forth on the topic. I finally figured out how to get Audacity to edit my podcasts and now it’s all gravy.
Once the technology is learned, you got no where to go but up.
Until you try to get them on iTunes, and then you just feel like taking effin’ hostages.
Yay, you!! Podcasts!!
I am so excited for you and I can’t wait to listen to your podcast. Are you going to do a shot before the first one? I think you should or maybe I’ll just do a shot for you. I’m stoked.
